上海交通大学美国光学学会学生分会旨在建立一个真正的学术团体,跟踪国际学科前沿,促进光通信和光学学科的学术交流和人才培养,提升学生的学术素养和社会能力。学会秉承如下宗旨:(1)推动科研社团与当地机构认识光通信与光学工程学科知识的重要性。(2)促进光通信及光学工程学科在上海交通大学及其所在地区的公众普及度。(3)致力于加强在光通信和光学研究领域从事科研的学生与研究机构之间的交流与联系。(4)拓展上海交通大学光通信和光学相关专业学生的视野和能力。(5)促进学会成员在国际平台上进行学术竞争与交流。

Shanghai Jiao Tong University OSA Student Chapter Awarded Activity Grant The Optical Society of America (OSA) is pleased to announce that the Shanghai Jiao Tong University OSA Student Chapter has been awarded a 2008 Activity Grant in support of attending several conferences in order to promote the chapter and OSA.
OSA Student Chapters provide guest lecturer programs, leadership training and year-round networking opportunities for students with an interest in optics and photonics. OSA supports these activities through grants, awards and a student member rebate program.
“Building a strong network of OSA Student Chapters around the globe is one of OSA’s highest priorities,” said Rod Alferness, 2008 OSA President.
